Meticulously hand-blown, this scandinavian modern piece showcases augustsson's organic design sensibilities. The vase features a striking violet, so dark that it appears to be black, casing beneath a transparent layer, with the latter expertly treated to create captivating organic pulled shapes. Notably, this vase bears an engraving underneath: "fa w johansson orrefors 25." despite this marking, it was indeed designed and crafted by börne augustsson for åseda glassworks. Walter johansson gained notoriety for his somewhat questionable involvement in buying and selling glass from different swedish glassworks. Residing in the orrefors region, he labeled glass items as if they were manufactured by his own company in orrefors.
