"Pitcher" is really a wide mug with handle and spout, ideal for pouring espresso/small quantities of wine, cream, or other liquids. Though, stands alone as a charming decorative objet d'art.
Cheerful piece from the "Ischia" series depicting amusing characters in a field amid sunflowers and birds embracing the beauty of their natural surroundings.
Painted details in De Simone's signature vibrant colors of yellow, purple, red, orange, green, and blue (both dark and light).
This piece's aesthetic was heavily influenced by Pablo Picasso, whom De Simone greatly admired. It is an amalgam of Italian folk art (simplicity, inaccuracy and crudeness of subject) with modernism in the use of color and shape.
