A large antique copper wine funnel by London maker, Farrow and Jackson. It is handcrafted with dovetail construction, hand hammered and tinned on the inside. It has a handy brass hanging ring and is a fine example of early workmanship. A big bold statement piece, it retains its lovely original patina. We estimate the age to be mid to late 1800's. So pretty hanging on a pot rack or placed on an island!
Farrow and Jackson formed in 1798, were 'Wine and Spirits Merchants and General Engineers' making copper measures, beer pulls, pumps, spirits bottles, taps, and many other items. They manufactured strong wares according to their advertisements.
