An elegant pair of French Louis XV style gilt bronze wall sconces dating from the 1920s. Beautifully cast and finished, each sconce features two scrolling candle arms emerging from a richly detailed rocaille backplate adorned with acanthus and foliate motifs. The graceful asymmetrical curves and sculptural ornamentation are hallmarks of the Louis XV aesthetic, bringing warmth, refinement, and a touch of French sophistication to any interior.
Measuring 19 inches high, 10.5 inches wide, and 5 inches deep, the sconces are well-scaled for use in hallways, living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, or flanking a mirror or fireplace. Their rich gilt finish highlights the crisp casting and decorative details, creating an elegant interplay of light and shadow.
