Carl Plansky … Read more Signed and framed Carl Plansky male nude expressionist mixed media painting, gouache and acrylic on heavy laid paper. Carl Plansky (1951-2009) was born in Florida. He studied art at the Maryland College Institute of Art before moving to New York in the 1970s. Plansky maintained studios in Brooklyn and East Meredith, New York, as well as Budapest, Hungary. He was heavily influenced by Joan Mitchell, who also served at a mentor to him. Carl Plansky founded the Williamsburg Handmade Oil Colors.

This painting is in very good original condition with wear consistent with age and use.
