Original tag on back made in Hong Kong. The Abacus being an ingenious calculator has been used in China for over a thousand years. Its accuracy and speed remains extraordinary till this day of age. This special piece has a tenon-mortise, solid wood frame reinforced by brass brackets. Hand-cut solid wood beads are fully intact on the structurally sound bamboo bars. The beads are substantial but perfectly smooth due to frequent use and fast movements. When in use, the beads make a wonderful pleasant sound that symbolizes prosperity.
