This " Rendezvous : Masterpieces from the Centre Georges Pompidou and The Guggenheim Museums " rare vintage 1988 first edition iconic extra large volume collector' landmark exhibition hardcover Modern Art book is an incredibly special and unique book to add to your library collection.
The extra large hardcover art exhibition book with slate gray matte finish satin fabric covered boards, monochrome embossed cover and spine titles, and dust jacket is published by The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation and Editions Du Centre Pompidou, Paris is association with Harry N. Abrams Inc. New York, printed in Germany in 1988 by Cantz.
This volume, published on the occasion of a major landmark exhibition organized by The Centre Georges Pompidou and The Guggenheim Museum, surveys the history of Modern Art, from the turn of the century to approximately 1970. This unique and unprecedented partnership brings together more than 300 masterpiece paintings, sculptures, and drawings by over 150 artists, including Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Jean Dubuffet, Yves Klein, Jackson Pollock, Willem De Kooning, Sonia Delaunay, Andre Derain, Georges Braque, Joan Miro, Alexander Calder, Paul Klee, Wassily Kandinsky, Marc Chagall, Fernand Leger, and many more luminaries of Modern Art.

It also includes entries on each of the 345 masterpieces reproduced, and succinct biographies of each artist represented.
The rare out of print 1st edition collector's extra large volume hardcover art book measures 10 1/2" W X 12 1/4" H X 2 1/4" D, with 711 pages, featuring 566 illustrations.
