Textured Vintage Oil Painting of a Woman at a spinning wheel, surrounded by striped woven floor rugs and bed canopies. Light streams in the curtained window and shows the bright yellow and blue armoire.
Hard at work, with rocking cradle beside her - the portrait of the hard working lady is calm and energetic.
Artist mark is Thure Malmberg (1894-1968) who painted in Finland and Sweden. Specific references show he worked or lived on Aland island, which is a Swedish speaking autonomous island within the boundaries of Finland. Age marks beside the artist's signature appears to be 1947.
