The goddess of compassion seated within an elaborate golden aureole above a leaf decorated throne, gouache on canvas, the shadow applied on the image of Tara demonstrating a skill unusual to normal Thangka paintings, in overall good condition with wear and color loss commensurate with the age, exquisite European style gilt wooden frame, private Upper East Side Manhattan collection
