This antique wall decoration from France has a pediment style design with arched top and lovely s-scrolled sides and a flat bottom. There is a heavily carved crest, and center plaque features a pair of carved lions flanking a shield with a fruit and floral bouquet arising from its top. The wood is accentuated about its trim and various accents in a light wash of grey/beige color. This 19th century French wall plaque, with a span of approximately 4.5 feet in length, would make a wonderful architectural focal point over an entryway, window, or perhaps adding height atop a bed-room headboard.
