This beautiful antique fruitwood chest from Italy features delicate inlay banding that outlines the perimeter about the top, drawer fronts, and each side. The rectangular-shaped top sits above the case which houses two drawers, each fitted with a pair of decorative ring pulls flanking an escutcheon at their center. The chest is presented upon four spade-carved legs. The drawers are each lined in old damask fabric about their interiors. This piece has recently been refinished. This 19th century Italian raised two-drawer chest, outlined with elegant marquetry inlay banding, is a perfectly versatile piece that could be used in just about any room in your home. See less
