Coastal watercolor on paper by Dorothy Laura Dodworth Scullin (1929-2014), signed and dated lower right. This is probably MA or New England coast; possibly Provincetown, Rockport to Cape Cod. Combined shipping available, please inquire.
Scullin grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and was a 1952 graduate of Rhode Island School of Design. She and her husband lived in Williamstown, Massachusetts.
A librarian, she was also a children's book author and illustrator with Young Scott Books/Scholastic and created the notable Doodlepunk series.
She worked in watercolor, oil and other media, and showed in numerous group and solo exhibitions. Her specialties were portraiture and still life, and her colorful landscapes and flowers found home in many locations around town and around the world
