This hand knotted wool vintage Turkish Oushak runner features five amulet medallions filled with roundels and floral sprays floating on an abashed golden camel field dotted with complementary floral sprays. The gentle waves of abrash combined with fluidly spaced medallions and motifs serves an interesting aesthetic function, contrasting delicately with the coloration and ornate detail work. The border is composed of a repeating geometric motif inspired from the Kotchanak motif symbolizing woman with child. Rendered in time-softened and variegated shades of sand, beige, ecru, tan, almond, eggplant, stone gray, gray, and sage. Abash. Hand knotted wool. Made in Turkey. Measures: 04'10 x 11'06.
