Hans Kogl was a mid-20th century, German furniture designer, who also designed chandeliers and sconces for Maison Jansen Manufacturing. He was known for his use of cutting-edge materials and technologies, his appreciation of functionality and aesthetics, along with his exceptional craftsmanship and attention to the detail of each small brass piece—being crafted and welded by hand!
Obviously, his designs were greatly influenced by the local flora found in Germany and Italy—wheat sheaves, Florentine flowers, Poppies and Wisteria. Hans’ love of nature is reflected by the luxurious, outdoor aura that each piece exudes—lending any room its dynamic appearance and stylish elegance—suitable for almost all environments, from mid-century to Hollywood Regency!
While I have never known Hans Kogl to have personally signed/marked any of his tables, this piece is marked with a brass tag that clearly states, “Made in Italy”, most pieces have lost their tags, simply due to time and moving.
This sculpture bears his trademark, “Braided Rope” securing the bouquet and his traditional three-legged styling, favoured on these types of pieces.
Hans Kogl work was manufactured in both Germany and Italy, between 1950-1980. This table is indicative of the Italian styles, during the mid-century.
The total weight of the table and glass is 17.9 lbs.

The glass has a few hairline scratches (no chips or cracks), but in no way detracts from the beauty of the piece. Honestly, I was so engrossed in the sculpture, that I had never noticed any detractors on the glass—and I am VERY critical! ;) less
