This extraordinary set of six demitasse are noteworthy for their pastel colors, simple lines, and gold gilding; most remarkable, however, is that none of the set was ever used. They are in their original box which has some dings, but the cups are perfect except for some small amount of crazing on the pink one. The saucers measure 5”W and the cup measures 2 1/4”H x 2 1/2”W. They have never been used, there is not so much as a utility mark on the interior of the cups nor any wear to the handles. The Figgjo stamp on the base of each cup and saucer places their manufacture in the 1950’s and were likely designed by Hermann Bongard who joined the company in 1956. See less
