  • "Sab: Yes, totally understand about the shipping (it is a flat rate option set by Chairish). I do allow pickups! I actually have it as an option (you will see it when you go to checkout)."

  • "Hi, I am interested in this item but I think $100 for shipping is a little too much for me. I live on Staten Island. I can possibly pick up the item without having it shipped to me. Would you be able to consider pick up so the shipping cost can be avoided?"

  • "Jenniferlynn J.: Yes, keep me posted Jennifer. As of now, it is still available!"

  • "We're always happy to adjust the shipping on any listing if the seller is comfortable packing. Just send us a note at support@chairish.com. We do ask that our user do not exchange contact info or attempt to facilitate sale outside of Chairish. Thanks!"

  • "Hi Jamie. I'll be moving into new apt next wknd and I'll have a better idea of it will fit. Hopefully it won't sell by then, but if it does, such is my luck. But another question, did you or anyone have an issue w/the shelf jutting out when using the toilet? It just seems like 13" from wall limits the head, back, body space one has if to sit?!"

    Feb. 2, 2016, 2:34 p.m.

  • "Jenniferlynn J.: Some older toilets that are thicker fit nicely underneath, some do not unfortunately. The bottom leg falls 9.5" away from the wall. The shelf is 12" deep by itself...but when attached to the legs, since it slopes at an angle, the shelf comes 13" away from the wall. The clearance under the shelf is 36.5". I hope that answers your question!"

  • "Jamie, I just did some measurements; when you say 11.5" D, do you mean from the widest base at floor to wall? Or is the shelf 11.5"D? From the wall to where the end of the commode tank ends is about 9". I'd hate to see an overhang of more than that as it will hit people as they sit. Also, how high up does the shelf start and how far up from the commode tank? "

  • "Jamie: Yes! That sounds great! I'd like to proceed!"

  • "Jenniferlynn J.: Jennifer, UPS would be $100 (I would ship in 2 separate boxes, which turns out is much cheaper). I would pack it myself just to be sure that it gets there in one piece! If you would like to proceed, I can manually change the shipping cost. Let me know! Thanks, Jamie"

  • "Jenniferlynn J.: Just had a thought - I could ship in two separate packages to bring down the price. The shelf & metal rods can go in one, and the tall ends in another. Would you be able to provide your zip so that I could get a better quote for you? I would prefer to ship using UPS since I used them for everything and find them to be reliable, if that's okay with you? They also do happen to be cheaper than Fedex. "

  • "I just moved from NYC (lower east side) to LA for my job. Wish I knew about this piece before I left! But hidden in the first msg is how you can contact me via cell. It's starts w/310 number. But to pay the white glove fee is ridiculously more expensive than the cost of the piece and I don't know if you can do off site"

Or jljankesh which is my first initial middle initial at icloud. But to pay the white glove fee is ridiculously more expensive than the cost of the piece. I'd choose pick up option and have you ship otherwise"

  • "Jamie: Hello and thanks for getting back! If you could take apart and bring to FedEx, (not sure how UPS does it but quite experienced w/FedEx) they will pack and ship it for you. I know it's more expensive but willing to pay for it that way, or I'm not opposed to UPS I just don't know how they do? Could you call either and find out how and if they would pack a shelf up to 80"? Sometimes they piece-mail cardboard together to fit whatever it may be if they don't have exact dimensions as I've experienced FedEx"

    Feb. 1, 2016, 2:27 p.m.

  • "Hi Jennifer. I quickly looked up approx. costs - Fedex is the most expensive - it would be about $170. UPS is approx. $135. These are rough estimates since I do not know what size box I can find for this and I would have to weigh it as well. I remember it being assembled, which means it comes apart, but the length would still be about 80" making it more expensive to ship than other items. Please let me know if you have any other questions! Thanks, Jamie. "

  • "Hello. I love this piece but white glove delivery costs more than when it was brand new! Would you please consider selling and shipping w/another carrier? I have a FedEx acct and insured. It would ship to Santa Monica CA. 310 Would you consider 944 doing that? Tx Jenniferlynn 8894"
