This hand knotted wool vintage Persian Bakhtiari rug features a layered medallion design with an array of stylized floral motifs. The oversized scalloped main medallion, adorned with large palmette pendants, nearly fills the field, while the interior lobed medallion sports a large blossom radiating outwards from the center. An ornate display of lotuses, roses, boteh, buds and vinery decorate both inside the medallion and the field. Large blooms emanate from the corners filling each spandrel. Classic carnation meander guard borders flank a lovely palmette main border. With its bold elaborate design and wonderful complementary color palette based around blue and orange, this charming Persian Bakhtiari rug is a great statement piece that would enliven any space.
