An unique handmade Kilim rug. This one of a kind rug produced only one piece in about 50 days by the our weavers. We used silk warp and Turkish silk weft. We inspired by Paul Klee drawing '' Heroic Strokes of the Bow - Heroische Bogenstriche ''. A splendid decor for your room's floor or wall. Background color is golden - sisal (pale, light grayish orange(brown)/pale, light grayish gamboge). Pure silk.
This exceptional silk-on-silk Oushak flatweave represents a striking convergence of traditional Anatolian craftsmanship and modern abstract art. Hand-woven in Western Anatolia during the 2019s, this unique piece reinterprets Paul Klee’s famous "Heroic Strokes of the Bow" drawing with minimalist elegance and fluid geometry. The choice of silk for both warp and weft creates a lustrous, tactile surface that elevates the monochromatic design, making it a sophisticated focal point for contemporary interiors.
Ideally suited for gallery-style living spaces, Japandi bedrooms, or mid-century modern studies, the rug features a creamy beige field interrupted by bold, rhythmic black strokes. Its flatweave construction allows for versatility as either a floor covering or a striking wall tapestry. As a one-of-a-kind creation produced over 50 days by master weavers, it offers a rare blend of textile luxury and intellectual artistic expression. Please review last photo for original drawing

◆ Color Palette & Design Insight:
A sophisticated monochromatic study in rhythm and contrast.
(Primary colors: Cream, Black)
• The field is a luxurious, neutral cream or soft beige, enhanced by the natural sheen of the silk fibers.
• Bold, sweeping strokes in deep black and dark charcoal provide high-impact contrast.
• The minimalist two-tone palette ensures versatility, allowing the design to stand out without overwhelming a space.
• Subtle variations in the black dyes add depth and texture to the graphic motifs.
◆ Motifs & Symbolism:
The design is a direct artistic homage to Paul Klee's "Heroic Strokes of the Bow," moving away from traditional tribal iconography toward modernist expression. The flowing, calligraphic lines mimic the kinetic movement of a violinist's bow, representing rhythm, sound, and energy. This abstract geometry invites personal interpretation, transforming the rug from a mere furnishing into a piece of intellectual art that captures the essence of music in visual form.

About original drawing from moma org: The title of this late work suggests that the black zigzags refer to the rhythmic strokes of a violin bow. Evoking a tablet of hieroglyphs, these thick, seemingly unrehearsed lines traverse the ground, bounding dashes, circles, and indecipherable symbols. While barely legible beneath a layer of colored paste, comparatively delicate newspaper type runs vertically, rooting the work in its contemporary moment. Following the rise of the Nazi regime in Germany, from 1933 until his death Klee lived in exile in Switzerland. These last years of his life were marked by intense productivity and assertive directness
