This 'fish' ashtray / decorative dish is by the famed American artist / ceramicist, Marc Bellaire, who was a former employee of Sascha Brastoff before launching his own studio.
Nice incorporation of textures, including sgraffito composition of fish itself and mottled detail. The dark golden color is contrasted by the black detailing. Arrangement of tripod feet give the piece a nice, curved shape. The piece is signed on the bottom.
