Vintage Chinese miniature version of hand-painted folding album with hard covers decorated with patterned brocade and titled with a rice … Read more Vintage Chinese miniature version of hand-painted folding album with hard covers decorated with patterned brocade and titled with a rice paper label handwritten with "small collection of flowers and birds" (花鸟小集), total eight watercolor painted paper leaves of flowers and birds (Hua Niao 花鸟) in scholar's freehand style (Xie Yi 写意), a red seal probably read as "恭画“ (gong hua, draw respectively) to each painting, an export rectangular seal to the end of the album, in overall good condition with minor discoloration and some light stains or water marks commensurate with the age and handling, acquired in Beijing in early 1980s, private Upper State New York collection
3 5/8 in. (9 cm) wide, 4 5/8 in. (12 cm) tall, 7/8 in. (2 cm) thick
