Beautiful ca. late 19th-century chrysanthemum still life, oil on canvas, unsigned. Presented in its original ornate gilt wood and gesso antique frame bearing the label of the noted St. Louis Moulding & Frame Company / J.R. Webber Co., founded in 1881.
The composition depicts a lush spray of multicolored chrysanthemums arranged around a decorated cobalt-blue vase, set against a deep, atmospheric background. The richly detailed petals, tonal shading, and traditional Victorian palette reflect the academic floral style popular in the late 1800s and early Edwardian period.
