It is a painting of the artist mother done in 1905. He made a few renditions of her. His work and artistic talent went undiscovered until the 1990s, when the house he lived in was sold and his collection of many, many paintings were discovered and bought up by collectors. This is a very rare and beautiful painting in great condition in a fabulous frame. Measuring 24 by 28 framed, the painting on mahogany panel board measures 16 by 20. Framed in a ornate gilt plaster and wood frame signed on the back by the framer.
