EXQUISITE 19th Century Antique French Oak BLACK FOREST Beveled Framed Mirror or Firescreen~~c. 1880s ~~We were fortunate enough to obtain … Read more EXQUISITE 19th Century Antique French Oak BLACK FOREST Beveled Framed Mirror or Firescreen~~c. 1880s ~~We were fortunate enough to obtain this outstanding mirror or firescreen and other contents of a French castle estate~~most certainly commissioned pieces for a family of wealth or royalty~~HIGH QUALITY 19th century Black Forest, Gothic and Renaissance Revival pieces in spectacular condition~~ Black Forest furniture and decorative pieces were very popular in late 19th century France~~often characterized by highly carved game such as rabbits, pheasants, foxes and hunting dogs and complemented by fruit, nut, leaf, floral, rosette, nut, and ribbon accents or Gothic elements ~~Intricately carved Black Forest frame with oak leaf and acorn accents~~"branch" style legs~~ ~~Versatile use as a standing mirror or wall mirror or as a firescreen~~ ~~44.4" tall x 27.5" wide x 17" deep (footprint) ~~ Solid and sturdy~~rich oak patina ~~Rear easel style leg could be removed for hanging flush on a wall~~ Beautiful family heirloom for today and future generations~~Direct from France c. 1880s See less
