Black Painted Chair with Hand Painted Gold Motifs of Conch Shell, Floral Rosette and Leafed Vine along the upper seatback. A rarely seen curved caning seat back around the circumference of the wooden half circle surround. Fine light-medium color wood caning on seatback and seat that pairs well with the gold-tone accents. Federal angled legs with matching rosette painting on the corners. Finished backside in same self black painted with gold accents. Wheat garland painted along the front of the seat. A delicate light chair that is great for flanking decorating ideas and completing those void spaces that need to be pulled together.

In very good condition, some slight dings and skipped paint on the surface edges due to wear on edges and leg base, some missing gold paint in those areas from constant usage on the topline seat back wooden painted finishing. A medium glossed finish on the wooden frame. Some missing paint leg base that has since been touched up. There is a small cane piece break and some discoloration from age as shown in the photos. Includes two chairs of the same design. Exceptional design of authentic hand painted furniture and excellent workmanship cane weave structure. less
