The print is by the world famous Belgian Surrealist artist Rene Francois Ghislain Magritte ( 1898 - 1967 ). He became well known for creating witty and thought provoking images. Often depicting objects in an unusual context. His work is known for challenging observer's preconditioned perceptions of reality. His imagery has influenced Pop, Minimalist, and Conceptual Art.

The vintage lithograph print features an artwork titled " Black Magic - La Magie Noire " created in 1945 by Magritte. The lithograph print was printed in 1974 in Japan. It is a page from an authentic vintage artists publication. The lithograph print plate is attached to the page with a method called " tipping " where it is attached by hand on 3 corners. This print is suitable for framing.

The print measures 7 1/4" W X 10" H, on a page that is 9" W X 12 1/4" H. There is unrelated text on the reverse back side of the page that refers to a different artwork image.
