Odd mark on the back and near the … Read more Iconic mid-century Murano "attributed" cannonball ashtray in cerulean blue with controlled bubbles. Odd mark on the back and near the cigarette groove; looks like clear nail polish but will not respond to any removal; most likely a blowing flaw then? Still very cool and decorative. No chips or other noted flaws. Glass is clear and bright. Some scratches on the bottom punt from wear on a table.

As this item is not signed, I have described it as "attributed" as authentic period Murano to conform with Chairish's listing rules. However, most small items such as ashtrays were not signed. All of the Murano items I have listed are from downsizing my personal collection, which pre-dates the renewed popularity of these items (most collected in the 1990s). I am a longtime, experienced collector and am confident of the authenticity of their origin. See less
