Very rare beautiful playing card set from 1906, made by English royal chartered company The Worshipful Company of Makers of Playing Cards, commemorating the Royal visit of His and Her Royal Highnesses, the Prince and Princess of Wales.
HRH Prince of Wales would become King George V four years later.
The cards are in almost new condition - if they have ever been played, it was sparingly.
The red Morocco leather case is gilt and hand tooled and in excellent condition, save for a minor glue separation at top corner, which can be re-glued if desired.
A routinely high draw at auction, offered here as rare chance to own a historical item.
