Wonderful Rare Identical Pair of Early English Porcelain China Sauce or Food Tureens complete with their original covers and undertrays, possibly made by Royal Crown Derby or Rockingham. Mid to late Nineteenth Century.
Lavishly hand decorated in Imari palette with colours of Iron Red and Cobalt Blue with gilt on an off-white ground, each rim with gadrooned decoration, each cover with a rose bud and leaves.
Condition: Superb condition for such early items, no wear to gilding at high points and no staining inside, possibly never used, all pieces are unmarked.
Diameter: (entire of undertray) 7.25" (18.5cm). Height: 6" (15.25cm).
