A fine American Federal period Boston Classical mahogany pedestal center table. circa 1825
Early 19th century, having a graduated column pedestal surmounted on a quatrefoil plinth with turned button motifs, raised on turned legs, terminating on brass casters.
Topped with a dramatically veined round marble top with elaborate beveled edge, but the table is such nice quality it can be used without the marble when desired.

Overall: 32" High, 38.5" Diameter;
Table only: 31" High, 37" Diameter;
Marble 38.5" Diameter, 1" High
As warm and handsome as it is functional, having the ideal size and proportions for a variety of different uses, including as a stunning entry statement piece, guéridon centre table, rolling library table, or elegantly refined kitchen table.
Condition:
Great antique condition with beautifully aged warm rich dark patina. Retaining original antique character marks and charm throughout, minor wear consistent with age and use. Old restoration/repair to marble top.
