Jason Berger (1924-2010), a Bostonian modern artist, started his career painting at 13. In 1941 he was offered a scholarship with the School of Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. He traveled extensively in France, Mexico, Portugal and Spain. He eventually settled down in Portugal only to return to the United States due to health issues.
This oil on paper depicts factory buildings in Montijo, Portugal. The image is in very good original condition with wear consistent with age and use.
