You are viewing an amazing Mixed Wood + Brass Reclining Female Nude Sculpture by Franz Hagenauer c1955.
This lovely modernist nude features a sinewy female form in maple wood, lounging upon a cherry wood curved piece. There are three burnished brass leaves adhered to the cherry wood form and the sculpture rests upon a flat shiny brass bar. Multiple stamped marks on underside read "Hagenauer Wien, Made in Austria, Handmade." Would look equally elegant on a fireplace mantle, on a desk or atop a dresser.
Measures 15 5/8"L x 3 1/8"D x 11"T.
