She was built in 1922 for sugar magnate J. Percy Bartram. Designed by Cox and Stevens of New York. This model is a gem. The cabin work is exceptional. Printed canvas deck. Two launches with great detail sit on the cabin rook on davits. The cabin windows are expertly and artistically painted. Hull with twin propeller shafts. Brass fittings include whistle davits, searchlights, chocks, portholes, etc.. Other details include gangway ladder, steam funnel, companionways, skylight, mast, anchors, etc.. Fitted to a custom display case J. Burr Bartram was a famous yacht broker and two term commodore of the New York Yacht Club. Caritas was the club flagship. See less
