The gimballed compass has been meticulously polished and lacquered. This classic marine instrument is fitted to its original hardwood box with a fine varnished finish. The bottom of the compass bowl is dated 2/44 (February 1944). The box has a sliding lid. This choice nautical relic is one of a group of compasses we have listed.
