The piece has a very smooth gliding affect with a steel suspension frame and rolled satin black metal arm guards and detailed with chromed bands. The flat bar leg structure to each end has a nice design and provides strength to the sofa, which was manufactured by the McKay Craft company Pittsburgh, PA. This style of sofa was highlighted in the 1933 Chicago World's Fair for the custom-built Florida house, designed by Salatore Bevelacqua and Percival Goodman. This unique sofa is a superb quality example of the best furniture produced during the Art Deco period, includes copies of paperwork and catalog pictures from the manufacture. See less
