Late 18th century oil on canvas painting of a well-to-do woman who looks like she was ahead of her time. Canvas was restretched at some point and placed in this older painted wooden frame. The detail on this piece is amazing—look closely to see the flowers in her hair. Painting (including frame) measures 19.75” across, 24.25” tall, and 2” deep. Some small marks on the painting itself, and aged parts of the frame that add to the character. In remarkably good condition overall. Unsigned. See less
