Good condition on a yellowed paper included a white cardboard passpartout (37.5x55 cm). Hand-signed by the artist on the lower right corner. François, Albert, Ernest Quelvée (born October 13 , 1884 at Évreux and died on December 12 , 1967 in Saint-Germain-en-Laye ) is a French painter, engraver and illustrator. A pupil of Maurice Denis , whose sacred art workshop he frequented, he received from his master, after having fulfilled a function in public works, the taste for large compositions. He is essentially a painter of genre, nudes, bouquets as well as landscapes of North Africa . This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
