C.1974; Original signed Curtis Jere' Bronze, "Tennis Player," Sculpture mounted on a Walnut wood plinth base, with black recessed platform. … Read more C.1974; Original signed Curtis Jere' Bronze, "Tennis Player," Sculpture mounted on a Walnut wood plinth base, with black recessed platform. The bronze portion at the bottom of one foot, has 2 elongated bars, that are meant to be, slide-mounted internally to the wood plinth base, whereupon in the last image one can see the 2 holes which are original and made for the mounting of this sculpture, weight of the sculpture counterbalances the piece to be, self-supporting. His signature tag is signed and attached to the wood plinth base front and dated, C.1974. The "only," restorative thing we did, was to refinish the wood plinth base, back to it's original finish and condition, and do this sculpture the justice it deserves, by also prolonging its longevity for many more years to come. The bronze portion, has not even been touched short of just polishing it. there is no rust, nor patina, other than the gorgeous patina bronze gives off. As an ex-tennis player ranked in my High School and college days, along with NCAA tournaments, I am more than hesitant to part with this lovely piece. Flip-flopping, at the moment, but again how many Tennis memorabilia and sculptures can a tennis buff retain. From a North palm Beach, Florida Estate.
