This is a glass inkwell with a wooden top with a pointed spire on top. The inkwell is shaped glass, with a tiny chip on one side, and the lid may or may not be original. I would guess not.
The inkwell measures 3.50 inches across and is 1 7/8 inches tall. It is only about 1.00 inch deep and it is 3.25 inches tall.
The wooden lid could use some finishing and sealing as shown.
The glass is slightly darker than it likely was originally. It has no other chips, cracks, or damage.
