This hand-engraved 14k gold pendant was inspired by an original L. Fritzsche and Co. nail pendant from the Edwardian era. We loved the scrolling foliate, so we cast a horse-shoe nail of the same shape and size and had it hand-engraved with a motif inspired by the one on the original piece. The hand engraving has beautiful detail and is considered a lost art—we are lucky to work with a skilled engraver! At the top of the nail are three small diamonds bead set into the carved out tip of the nail.

The nail is 2 1/2” long and has a 9 x 6 mm bail. It weighs 3.95 grams. The three diamonds are 1.25 mm each. The pendant is unmarked and tests as 14k gold.

The long, narrow shape of this piece makes it stack well with both large and small charms. See less
