within the gilt lined hinged lid is an engraving.
stamped asprey, with red box showing the royal warrant to our late queen elizabeth ii
provenance: presented to baron plummer conservative leader of the opposition party 1966.
"councillor and mrs desmond plummer mayor and mayoress of st. Marylebone london 51958-1959 from the members of the council in appreciation of there services" and bearing the borough coat of arms.
