This is a bucolic scene rendered in 1955. It is titled "Paglial" or Haystacks. This was likely painted in the vicinity of Settignano, a hilltop community near Florence where the artist resided. It is signed lower right and marked upon the reverse.
It measures 8 1/4" x 13 1/4" inches in a gilded frame measuring 10" x 15 1/4".
The painting is in good condition. The frame has minor loss and damage to the gilding.
