When in 1987 Annegret Beier designed the Cacharel bottle for the perfume "Loulou", it is said that she remarked, "Loulou's bottle is like a magic flask. Rub it and a spirit comes out".
Indeed the opaque azure blue hexagonal bottle with a blood red spiky hexagonal topper has been compared to Aladdin's magic lamp. The inspiration for the unusual color combination supposedly came from one of Matisse's paintings where the muse wears red pants, and the painting has a blue background. The colors are almost reminiscent of the Memphis style.
The bottle is empty, the liquid perfume long gone, but the timeless magic of the bottle continues to offer you a beautiful decorative vessel with wonderful lines and amazing colors.
