From the potteries of Lille France in the late 19th century, a transferware and hand-pained faience earthenware plate depicting a rollicking tavern scene of male being poured beverage from urn. Thick glaze typical of French faience with occasional imperfections in manufacture evident. Approximate 5" thin hairline on reverse, non structural. not visible when displayed.Diameter 24.5 cm, 9 5/8"
