Stunning George Smith Chelsea black velvet upholstered Butterfly model armchair RRP £7,000 The armchair is one of a pair, I … Read more Stunning George Smith Chelsea black velvet upholstered Butterfly model armchair RRP £7,000 The armchair is one of a pair, I have a black velvet one without castors and a grey linen one with castors, this sale is for the armchair mentioned above only with the other one being listed under my other items and not included in this sale It is a very well made and unique armchair, originally designed as a gentleman’s library armchair but it of course can be used anywhere, my wife quite likes it as a bedroom chair due to the size but we really don’t have space The form is very fine, it has an oversized back and arms which give it the name of the Butterfly armchair. The chair has been custom upholstered in black velvet with tassels to the base, it looks very English town house sophisticated. This chair is pure quality, it looks expensive and important in any setting and seats wonderfully Condition wise its in very good order, there may be some light age and transport marks here and there but mostly its in very fine order Dimensions Height:- 84cm Width:- 102cm Depth:- 80.5cm Seat height:- 44cm This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
