A highly decorative and original piece … Read more This exceptionally rare, 1686 dated, Northern English hand carved from solid oak Wainscot armchair. A highly decorative and original piece the back panel depicts some kind of scene which has a religious look and feel to it, the piece is dated to the top 1686 however to me it feels more late 18th century to the early 19th century but I could be wrong. It is carved in the Jacobean style The chair is exactly as you wish to find in, unrestored and unaltered, its held together with dowels, every single piece is hand sawn and carved We have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, it has the original finish and looks amazing in any setting Dimensions Height:- 128.5cm Width:- 65cm Depth:- 57.5cm Seat height:- 46cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point.
