The bird has a large foliate margent hanging from its beak and a ballflower on top of the head. Interestingly, most of the elements have been gilded, except the nape, which has been carved with undulating fluting and finished in white, although buildup over the centuries has given it a pale gray patina. A beautiful and unique decorative accessory, our carved eagle head can be displayed on a fireplace mantel, sofa table, or bookshelf. See less
