Absolutely exquisite 18th century library bookcase with 15th century Jacobean Linen fold carved paneling and the most amazing Astral glazed … Read more Absolutely exquisite 18th century library bookcase with 15th century Jacobean Linen fold carved paneling and the most amazing Astral glazed doors This is one of the most stunning Astral glazed bookcases I have ever seen, the timber is all 18th century reclaimed from early 15th-16th century Jacobean pieces, it has a patina to die for which is I'm sure why it was salvaged and built. The doors are a work of art, very tall, Astral glazed as mentioned but with thick copper and brass mounts the likes of which I have never seen, the lock is an antique thing of beauty, the base panels are linen fold carved which dates them to the 15th to 16th century, everything on this piece is absolutely exquisite Condition wise this piece is exquisite, there will be good honest patina all over as you would expect, some of the glass panels are cracked, I have no intention of changing them as its all part of the charm and the glass is original Dimensions Height:- 228.5cm Width:- 126cm Depth:- 56.5cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point.
