This piece is sublime, it weighs around twice what it looks like it should, it is very heavy timber. The beauty is in the detail, the fret work carving to the arches is exquisite, the hardware original, there is a double bevelled edge around the top which is recessed in the corners, again very much a Chippendale trait. This piece is very fine quality indeed

Condition wise the finish and patina are honest and original, we have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, there will be age and use related patina marks here and there as you would expect, there are old repairs in various places, marks to the top and so on.
