Solid walnut, crown moulding to upper cabinet, framed holder for upper cabinet on desk surface, square edge to the desk surface, wood knob hardware, carved apron, turned legs, and spool feet. Upper cabinet has dual lockable solid doors revealing an interior of various size cubbies (mail slots). Lower desk features the writing surface and five lockable drawers of hand dovetailed construction. Includes two keys. Two piece construction. Made in Virginia, USA, in the 19th Century.
