The chairs are made from beech and mahogany and all 4 chairs retain the original seats in beautifully patinated woven paper cord. Only the very first production was made in mahogany and to find a set of 4 is really amazing. This set was bought directly from the family of the original owner who bought it in the late 1940s. The condition is very good and they haver never been repaired or refinished. Versatile and iconic, the model J39 "People's chair" is recognised for its timeless appeal and lasting durability. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
